We all read and have written stories. We get them from students to correct. We often see descriptions of scenes, people and events that make our head ache; like there was no effort put into it. This scene affected so many people with it’s powerful description of Sean Maguire’s life and can be a good starting point if you wish to change your pupil’s view on how their are to describe things in stories. They need to practice and to have experience and then their vocabulary will expand with each time they try. Show them this scene and see some results. Contain strong language.
